The class will be attending swimming sessions on Thursday morning this term - please ensure your child brings a swimming costume and towel into school each week.
PE will be on a  Friday this term - please ensure your child has a full, named PE kit in school including appropriate footwear and warm clothing as we will be outside as much as possible.

Homework will continue to come home every Tuesday to be returned on a Friday.
New Homework challenges will also be given out to complete at your leisure.

As always reading is vital to every child's learning and will help them progress in every subject.
Please aim to read with your child 3 times every week and write in their reading diary - stickers will be given each week to children who do this and certificates at the end of each term.

The class will visit the library on 5th May and 19th May this term.

Take a look at the bottom of the page to see what we have been up to in class.

World Book Day

Maple had a great time with Mrs Walker on World Book Day.
They focused on our class reader "The Bolds" by Julian Clary which we have been finding very funny.

The children completed a wordsearch and created their own imaginary animals.
They also learnt more about the author and illustrator, David Roberts.
Maple class created their own amazing illustrations of the Bold hyena family, as well as having time to shared their stories with other children in school.

All the children looked amazing in their costumes!
Check out the costume parade below!

Don't forget the homework challenges will support children's learning as well.
