Pupil Premium Funding

Pupil Premium Funding

The Pupil Premium grant is funding provided to school by the government to help all children reach their full potential regardless of circumstances or financial situation.
Pupil Premium funding is allocated to pupils who qualify for Free School Meals.

By claiming free school meals, not only is your child guaranteed a delicious nutritious meal freshly cooked on site, but school also receives additional funding which is used to support learning and teaching.  At Berry Hill we also have a Pupil Premium policy which outlines our commitment to supporting families eligible for Pupil Premium by subsiding payments for Buddies before and after school club, uniform, trips and events.  Please see the Policy available on our 'Policies tab', or speak to the Office for more information.

In addition, the Government expects all schools to provide free school meals to all pupils in years Reception, Years 1 and 2.  This is known as Universal Free School Meals.
