Gloucester Museum Trip - January 2018
Larch class enjoyed a morning learning all about the stone age at Gloucester museum. We were able to see artefacts, try on clothes and ask lots of questions. We completed a trail around the museum that taught us lots, including the discovery of a stone age lady at Birdlip. We learnt about the different treasures she was buried with and sketched her very precious mirror.
After our trail we were able to explore the whole museum. It was great fun! some of us found the dressing up box!
On our way home, Mrs Hunt took us to Birdlip so that we could see where the stone age lady was found.
It was a great day and the children had a wonderful time!

ARE ALL ROCKS THE SAME?
Spring Term Two and Summer Term One - Around the world and back again!
Please have a look at our topic web. It will give you an idea of the different things we will be learning in larch class this term.
We have been learning about the Easter story and why it is so important to Christians. We had lots of questions and we were lucky enough to be able to ask Reverend Tony. Some of our questions were quite tricky, but Tony was able to answer them and help us with our learning.
A poem written by Larch class
Love is not wonderful, it is marvellous,
It is lovely to be loved,
Love is special,
Love is not big, it is HUGE.
Love can be anything and everything,
Love can be cuddles and kisses,
It means you love someone,
Sharing love is giving people kisses and cuddles,
Love is glorious and tremendous,
We love our families and we love our friends,
Sharing love makes us feel happy.
We love our gadgets and our toys,
Football, rugby, biking and basketball,
We love these things but not like we love our families.
Love can be different to each person.
We all love our pets,
Dogs, cats, snakes, fish, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and a bearded dragon,
We show our love by playing with them,
We love them by looking after them.
Larch class wrote this poem,
Especially for love,
To show people what love means,
And to spread love all around.
WE LOVE THIS POEM!
