Class Larch 2019-20
Welcome to Larch Class!
Here we are, Spring is on the way. I can't believe we are 1/3 of the way through the academic year!
Our Rock 'n' Romans topic will continue through to the end of this half-term. Our topic lessons will be focusing on Romans and science will be focused on forces. Have a look at the topic web for more information.
Due to the positive feedback on the topic homework set last half term, it will have a similar theme this half term with the focus on trying new things and doing activities together.
PE for Spring 1 is 'body movers' on a Monday morning, which aims to keep us active and improve hand, eye co-ordination and cricket on a Wednesday afternoon. Please ensure your child has additional warm clothes (tracksuit bottoms & jumper) as well as their normal PE kit.
For the entirety of January will have Miss Scriven with us from the University of Gloucester, she will be teaching a range of subjects on her way to qualifying as a teacher.
If you have any concerns/questions/worries please continue to write in your child's link book or come and see one of us.
Mr Marsh & Miss Wales
We had a memorable day at Caerleon where we visited the bath house, museum and amphitheater.
Check out some of the photos from our Roman day in January.
We visited a Roman excavation at Ruardean Hill - Nina showed us round, told us lots of interesting facts and we even saw the team find a piece of pottery!
The police came to visit with some 4-legged friends! The horses (and children!) were very well behaved.
Some of our topic work in Autumn 1.
