Class Oak 2018-2019

Welcome to Oak Class - the final stop at Berry Hill Primary School.

I can't believe  we have completed our first half-term already! Everyone has been working hard and learning new things - long may it continue!

Our second topic of the year will see us studying the Ancient Maya: we will be finding out where they lived, what they did for fun, how their number system worked, the gods they worshipped and lots more.

In English we will start with our poetry unit (studying the poetry of Ted Hughes) followed by our non-fiction (Mission: Save Pompeii) and finishing with our debate unit.

On Thursday afternoons we have the pleasure of Mrs Delahoy taking the class for art; she will also be making our Christmas gifts.

Please make sure your child has their PE kit in school as we will have two sessions as week - gymnastics and aerobics.

If you have a concerns/questions/worries please write in your child's link book or come and see one of us.

Let's continue this fantastic start to the year and remember, no matter how many mistakes you make or how slow the progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn't trying.
