Class Oak 2018-2019

Welcome to Oak Class - the final stop at Berry Hill Primary School.

Get ready for a busy year; we have lots to look forward to including: Bikeability, STEM workshops, SATs, Superstars art, PGL, Beechenhurst trip, class photos, sports day, school play and Year 6 Leavers performance!

Our first topic this half term is science based and centred around electricity. The children will learn about who discovered it, how/why it's important to us, how to read and draw a circuit diagrams as well as make their own electrical circuits culminating in an end of term design project.

Our first unit in English will our fiction based unit, where we will be reading and writing about an amazing book called 'Eye of the Wolf' - it has proved very popular with the children in the previous two years.

On Thursday mornings Mrs Walker will be taking the class and focusing on Spanish and music - sometimes at the same time!

Please make sure your child has their PE kit in school as we will have two sessions as week - circuit training and tag rugby.

If you have a concerns/questions/worries please write in your child's link book or come and see on of us.

Let's have a great year and remember, the secret of getting ahead is getting started.
