Look at some of the things we have been learning in Class Elm!
Spring Term 2 and Summer 1
Class Elm have been sharing and writing about the story 'Man on the Moon'. They used drama to explore their ideas before writing and spent the morning on the moon!

Take a look at some of the exciting things that we have been learning in Class Elm this term!
The Seasons
In Science we have been learning about the four seasons. We went on a nature walk to investigate and look for clues that would help us to identify the season that we are in!
  • Class Elm's Trip To Noah's Arc Farm Zoo.

When we arrived at Noah's Arc Farm Zoo we took part in an African animal workshop. Some of us felt very brave and stroked a snake! After the workshop we went to feed the meerkats some insects for their dinner! Then we set off exploring the farm zoo looking for all of the different types of animals.  We saw lots of mammals and some reptiles and birds.

First we saw some very noisy gibbons and a lion who was fast asleep! Then we watched two bears playing together and some giraffes who were having leaves for their lunch. Our favourite part of the trip was when we held the fluffy rabbits and the little chicks!

  • Class Elm Celebrated Diwali

Class Elm dressed up in bright colours to celebrate the Indian festival of light 'Diwali'.

After learning a Diwali song  and listening to the story about Rama and Sita, Class Elm had a feast around some glowing candles.

Class Elm made some Diva lamps out of clay and drew rangoli patterns on templates of their own hands.

What a wonderful Nativity performance from Beech, Elm and Maple classes.
A great deal of effort went into the children learning their narration, songs and character parts.
I'm sure you'll agree that the finished productions were a real credit to all involved.

The photos show Maple class receiving their certificates for the effort they put in.
WELL DONE MAPLE.
