Pupil Funding - Pupil Premium, Free School Meals, and Sports Funding
The government introduced the Pupil Premium Grant in April 2011. This funding has been allocated to pupils who are looked after by the local authority, those who have been eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (also known as Ever 6 FSM) and for children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces. Not only do free school meals ensure that your child gets to eat a delicious, nutritious, healthy meal in the middle of their day (and ours are wonderful - freshly cooked on site and with menu options selected by the children), there is also a financially benefit to our school for the number of children taking up this option. If you think your child may be eligible for free school meals, or would like more information, please take a look at the 'Free School Meals - Is My Child Eligible?' leaflet below.
Also below is our annual Pupil Premium Statement for the last academic year, and the one previous. This sets out how we spend the Pupil Premium Funding that we receive, how our children benefit, and the impact on their learning and progress.
Sports Premium is a grant which the government has agreed to allocate to schools for the next two years. The funding is to be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision. It is also expected that there will be an increase in participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.
