Statutory Proposals to remove Berry Hill Primary School from the Lakers Family Co-operative Trust

UPDATE:  The proposal on removing Lakers Family Trust as the foundation of BHPS has now been implemented, and there is a new Instrument of Governance (from 1st November 2017).

As stated in the proposal, this will have no direct impact on the day-to-day running of the school, staff or pupils.  A Trustees meeting will take place on the 20th November to finalise the paperwork to dissolve The Trust.  

 

 

PROPOSALS TO REMOVE THE LAKERS FAMILY CO-OPERATIVE LEARNING TRUST AS THE FOUNDATION OF BERRY HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL

Notice is given in accordance with School Organisation (Removal of Foundation, Reduction in Number of Foundation Governors and Ability of Foundation to Pay Debts) (England) Regulations 2007 that the Governors intends to make a prescribed alteration to Berry Hill Primary School, Nine Wells Road, Berry Hill, Coleford, Gloucestershire, GL16 7AT  from 1 November 2017.

The proposal seeks to remove The Lakers Family Co-operative Trust as the foundation of the school.

There will be no change to the admissions policy, and the Governing Body will remain responsible for running the school.

The Governing Body will implement the proposal working in partnership with the Trustees of The Lakers Family Co-operative Trust and Gloucestershire County Council.
