The Role of a Governor
What does a Governor at Berry Hill Primary School Do?
The governing body is a group of volunteers with a range of skills that contribute to the work of the school by ensuring high standards of achievement for all by:
* Setting the school's vision, ethos and strategic direction;
* Making sure the headteacher does an effective job in providing the best education;
* Overseeing that money is well, and appropriately spent.
Being a governor involves attending meetings regularly, and taking time to come and visit school to find out more about what we do, and monitor the quality of our provision.
We currently have spaces on our governing body. Would you be interested in supporting our staff, children, and families to get the very best education at Berry Hill Primary? We would be particularly keen to encourage the input of someone with business or financial expertise and experience.
To find out more, contact either Stewart Hunter, Chair of Governors - email@example.com or Sally Hunt, Headteacher - firstname.lastname@example.org.
Information about the members of our Governing Body, including who is a member of each committee and contact details can be found on the documents linked below.
